Welcome! I am so excited that you're considering a photo session. Whether you're booking a headshot, a branding session, or something else. The goal is that your experience is seamless, empowering, professional and fun. Below are some of the most common questions I get – if you don’t see your question here, feel free to reach out!
Where is your studio located?
The studio is located in Red Deer, Alberta, just 30 minutes from Sylvan Lake (where I am from) or 1.5 hours from Calgary or Edmonton. I also partner with show homes and local spaces for special event sessions and pop-ups — location details will always be confirmed when you book.
Do you travel?
I sure can. Mileage is charged for anything 30 minutes from Red Deer. I can set up a studio in your office if need be or rent a space (studio fees may apply).
What if I’m sick or need to reschedule?
If you're feeling unwell or have an emergency, I completely understand — life happens! Please give me as much notice as possible. I am happy to reschedule your session for another available date. Your health (and ours) is a priority.
Do you take payments? How does it work?
Yes! A non-refundable retainer is required to secure your session date, and the remainder is due on or before your session day. We accept credit cards, e-transfers, and online payment through secure invoicing. Payment plans are available for select sessions — just ask!
What should I wear? Do you help with styling?
Absolutely! Once you book, we’ll send you a personalized what-to-wear guide with tips for looking your best. For branding and headshots, we’ll also chat beforehand to align your wardrobe with your brand message.
Do you offer professional hair and makeup?
Yes! Many of our sessions (especially branding and beauty experiences) include the option to add professional hair and makeup. You’ll feel pampered, polished, and photo-ready. I also have local boutique recommendations for shopping/outfit planning.
How long is a photo session?
Session lengths vary depending on the type:
Headshots typically take anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes depending on the variety of images you are looking for.
Branding sessions can range from 60 to 120 minutes. Or can be longer depending on your needs.
We’ll go over the timeline with you when you book so you know what to expect.
Can I bring my kids or a friend?
For headshots or branding sessions, you’re welcome to bring a friend or assistant for support (and a confidence boost!). Just let us know ahead of time. If you can’t find a sitter for you kids - please bring them along if need be.
How long before I receive my photos?
You’ll receive a preview or proofing gallery within 7–10 business days, and final edited images typically follow shortly after you make your selections. If you need them sooner, rush editing may be available for an additional fee.
Do you retouch the images?
Yes, all final images include professional retouching to polish lighting, skin tones, and details — without making you look overly airbrushed. Our goal is always to keep you looking like your best, most confident self.
What happens if the weather is bad (for outdoor sessions)?
If the weather is truly uncooperative (pouring rain, extreme cold, etc.), we’ll reschedule or move to an indoor location. We always keep an eye on the forecast and will stay in touch as your session approaches.
